4月1日至2日，中国人民解放军东部战区组织陆军、海军、空军、火箭军等兵力，位台岛周边组织舰机多向抵近台岛，开展联合演训。对此，两岸关系和平发展协同创新中心主任、厦门大学台湾研究院特聘教授刘国深接受CGTN采访，就东部战区联合演训进行评议。

刘国深教授表示，此次“海峡雷霆-2025A”演练展示了新形势下中国政府治理能力、治理水平和治理模式的新发展。分裂活动对台湾地区的稳定和经济发展毫无益处，反而损害了海峡两岸人民的利益。刘国深教授强调，中国政府通过此次军演十分清楚地传达了遏制“台独”、遏制分裂的目的。这进一步表明，中国政府在处理台湾问题上是非常负责任的，绝不轻易动用武力。中国政府必须保持这样的能力。随着挑衅行为的增多，中国政府将进一步提升治理台湾海峡的能力和水平。

Defending One-China: Expert says military exercises show new development of

China's governance of Taiwan Strait

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command has completed military exercises in the middle and southern areas of the Taiwan Strait. CGTN spoke to Liu Guoshen, Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Peaceful Development of Cross-Strait Relations at Xiamen University for his views on the military exercises.

The separatist activities make no contribution to the stabilization of Taiwan and its economic development. Instead, they harm the interests of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It is very important for the Chinese government to convey the purpose of deterring 'Taiwan independence' and deterring separatism through the military exercises. I believe this purpose has been conveyed. It further shows that the Chinese government is actually very responsible in taking care of the Taiwan question. It will never casually use military force. But China must maintain such abilities. As the provocations increase, the Chinese government will further improve its capabilities and level to govern the Taiwan Strait.
